Done as a personal project utilizing the Google Maps API, the Subway Map hosted at onNYTurf.com is one of the premier online maps of the NYC Subway and other regional public transit systems.

It features intuitive detailed information about the systems. Including color matching lines to the official agency maps, station outlines and staircase entry/exit locations, ADA compliance, and translations in an ever growing list of languages.

Its popularity is such that is has built a community of contributors around it. Users submit language translations, imagery of station entry/exit points, and compile service information into easy to use station detail popups.

	Community Contributions Due to its popularity, much of the information on the subway map, such as station details and translations has been compiled by it's community of users. In exchange, no advertising ever appears on the website; advertising offers have been turned away.
	Regional Ferry Systems The Subway Map at onNYTurf is rare in that it was the first online map to show multiple NYC regional public transit systems on one map, greatly simplifying route planning. Previously riders were forced to consult each agency's maps individually and try to cross reference them.
	Station Detail Popups Station and system detail information is contained in larger popup windows. Most of this information is compiled and maintained by a community of users of the subway map.
	Station Entry/Exit Details Entry/Exit points are laid out in detail. NYers are known to obsess about whether the front, middle, or back of a train is the most efficient place to ride relative to the staircase they wish to use at their destination.
