Map4Change.org is a community website build for a social activism non-profit agency. It has numerous tools for self organizing including a mailing list integrated with an online forum. It also has numerous tools for creating maps, which was the particular interest of the client.

Considerable amounts of custom software was written for this project to integrate the CMS bitweaver with open source software like Mailman and Geoserver and 3rd party services like the Google Maps API and Democracy In Action's political activism tools.

	Sample Group Home Page Groups are similar to google groups having discussion threads and the ability to create content collaboratively. Going beyond google groups' features, all manner of content can be created collaboratively from wiki pages and blog posts to image galleries, maps, and map features.
	Maps Map4Change.org not surprisingly has a big focus on maps. One of the main goals of the client was to make collaborative map-making much easier, and to then link such maps with political action tools. Map4Change is integrated with Democracy In Action's letter writing tools. Groups using Map4Change can easily create content and then associate it with a political action campaign.
	Sample Map The map tools on Map4Change.org utilize the Google Maps API and allow all manner of map objects to be added to maps. Additionally Map4Change collects demographic data and makes it available for inclusion in user created maps.
	Geo Spacial Data Editor Demographic data is easily styled as map layers by the client's non-technical administrators using a custom editor built for them. They can easily upload data sets via a cvs file, style the data to colors they prefer, and then publish the map layer to the public facing site.
